customs는 복수와 단수 모두 가능하다 – 세관

custom은 관습이라는 뜻이지만 여기에 s가 붙으면 관습들이 아니라 세관이라는 엉뚱한 뜻으로 변한다. 모양은 복수이지만 단수로 쓰이기도 한다. 옥쓰포드 영한사전에는 복수로 나와 있고 미국의 경우에는 단수로 쓰인다고 설명되어 있다.
