whether 종속절을 가정법으로 바꾸기

be it은 whether it is가 바뀐 거다. 직설법이 가정법으로 바뀌었다. 무엇이라도 최고의 해결 방법은 될 수 없다는 뜻이다.

종속 접속사를 생략하고 주어와 동사의 위치를 바꿔 가정법으로 만든다는 설명이다.

우리 교과 과정에서는 가정법을 과거, 현재, 미래로 나눠 복잡하게 가르치지만 영어를 모국어로 하는 사람들은 그러지 않는다. 가정의 의미인 종속절에 동사의 원형만 쓰면 그냥 다 subjunctive라 한다.
